Bathroom Trailer Makeover

Since our wedding is on a farm in the New Jersey countryside (yes, there is such a thing!), we need to rent everything... and I mean EVERYTHING. Including a bathroom trailer, with electricity and water hook-up. I am kind of dreading how un-luxurious this bathroom trailer will look, both inside and out.

In hopes of luxing up our loo, I have gathered the following inspiration:

Art to cover (at least one of) the assumingly ugly walls:

A full-length mirror (because everyone appreciates knowing their dress is tucked into their panties):

An area rug to adorn the floor:

A pretty necessities basket:

Scented candles to give ambience and to mask any... well... you know:

Merry Christmas Eve!

My fiance and I trekked through the snow (a 45-minute excursion, might I add) to the rental showroom so we could pay our deposit for the wedding rentals. We drove there to pay in person so that we could pay 3.5% sales tax, intead of the usual 7%. (Hey, when you're talking thousands of dollars, that dough adds up!)

So now it's official... we have EVERY VENDOR booked. Woohooo!

Mission Accomplished... Kind Of.

Yes! We have our Save the Dates done. But I'm thinking about waiting until after January 1st to mail them out. It might be too chaotic to send them out amidst Christmas cards and 2010 calendars and everything else people receive in the mail this week! Once we send them out, this wedding is the real deal! Guess I have to go through with it now... ;)

Something Old/Something New

If you haven't already, I strongly suggest checking out bravobride.com. It's a place to buy and sell used wedding items... anything from dresses, to rings(yes, rings), to flower girl baskets, to paper lanterns... you name it, it's for sale.

Some of my favorite items on bravobride.com:

Eco-Friendly Cupcake Tower, $49.99

JCrew 'Carmen' shoes in Ivory, $125

Ivory Feather Fascinator, $63.99

Bridesmaid Blues

I am pretty much *in love* with this bridesmaid dress:

Buuut it's $215. I really, really want to stick to my "$50 per bridesmaid" contribution to the dresses. I have six bridesmaids. Maybe I can have something like this made on etsy for cheaper?

Something to ponder...

Save the Dates

Save the Dates are done! We ordered them from Milkmaid Press. What do you think? (These are PDF proofs, so the quality is horrible... please forgive.)
