Shabby Chic Inspiration Board

As a nod to my New England upbringing, this shabby chic inspiration board truly embraces the cottage style that I knew so well.

Weathered wood, layers of paint that tell a story, heirloom silverware, repurposed frames and window panes, all of which are perfectly complemented by vintage fabrics and haphazard bouquets.

A Wedding Wonderland

There is something so nostalgic about whimsical weddings.  Though 'nostalgia' isn't often the word that comes to mind when one mentions the word 'whimsy,' allow me to elaborate.  Way back when, before we had jobs, responsibilities, or a care in the world, we were kids.  We had tea parties, made pretty princess hats out of construction paper and ribbon, and the only limit to our actions was our own imaginations.

Whoever and wherever we are now, we can all reminisce about our days of whimsy. We dreamed of the day we would walk down that aisle, and for many of us, that dream still harbors inside of us, just as fresh and exciting as it was years ago.

I admire those women who succumb to the whimsy; the ones who wear that poufy princess dress, wear that tiara, and ride off into the sunset in their modern-day pumpkin coach (Rolls Royce, anyone?) at the end of the night.

This Alice in Wonderland photo shoot is a tribute to the whimsy. Let your wildest dreams be your only limitation as you dare to execute the wedding (or bridal shower) you've always imagined.

A Love Story

There aren't many things I love more than a good book.  Especially the classics.  There's something so riveting and romantic about words on a page that move you to the far edges of your soul.

The brilliant minds of writers past are etched indefinitely on the pages of a book to be read by generations to come.  The greatest loves of all time are ours to experience.  And what greater way to let your favorite stories shine than to incorporate them into your wedding day?

With This Ring: Creative Wedding Ring Shots

One of my favorite shots in any wedding album is of the wedding rings, for two reasons: 1) it's hard to see and appreciate their true beauty when you're sitting so far away during the ceremony, and 2) they represent eternal love, which is why {most of us} get married in the first place.

We scoured the web to find you some of the most lovely, creative ring shots in existence.  How fabulous are these?

May Flowers Bring June Weddings

Though I feel so blessed to take part in so many weddings this year, I can't help but realize that this blog has been placed on the backburner lately.  I truly love blogging; it's another creative outlet for me when I have so much love for weddings that I just need to 'let it all out' somewhere.  I can't wait to get back to blogging more often, as I have so much to share with all of you.  Much love.

Sneak Peak at the JCrew Bridal Salon

Alongside thousands of other fans of all things JCrew, I was elated to hear that JCrew was opening a bridal salon on Madison Avenue.  To our delight, it's now open.  These lovely images come courtesy of Grace at The Cinderella Project.
