DIY Project: Sweet, Whimsical Paper Lanterns

It comes as no surprise that I spotted this incredibly feminine (and totally unexpected) take on paper lanterns in Martha Stewart.  A refreshing take on the classic paper lantern, these seem to promise fluttery movement in a gently breeze, and added dimension to a lightbulb hung inside them at dusk.

Though I have the urge to make a million bagillion of these and frolic through them, flailing my arms at them as though they were pinatas, I will refrain.  Instead, allow me to share the oh-so-easy instructions so that you, my lovelies, have the cutest little paper lanterns on the block.

You can find all the good stuff right here.

I love it too! I can totally picture these hanging over a summer food table on a back porch somewhere. They'd look really cute made of newsprint, too!
