Loving: Airplane Details

Okay.  I know what you're thinking.  'Airplanes' and 'weddings' don't necessarily go together like peanut butter and jelly.  (But they could.)  I came across these high-flying ideas (dork alert... did I really just say that?) and I had to share them with you.

Wooden airplane escort cards?  Get.  OUT.  Of town.  How cute is this: The bride's family owns an airport, and they took these wooden airplanes from their gift shop and painted them.  Want to know where you can get your own?  At the bride's family's airport shop!  No joke... click here.

Nothing says 'stationery' like the good old fashioned kind.  Likewise, nothing says 'fun' like a paper airplane.  Match made in heaven?  Oui.  Who better to show us how it's done than The Martha?  Find the step-by-step directions here.

Rachel Ray featured this as a back-to-school centerpiece idea, but this is just too darn cute to be on your mom's kitchen table.  Totally wedding-worthy.

I heard somewhere that edible favors are the only favors worth giving, but these toy airplane favors are the exception to the rule.  Flying these off the second floor balcony into the lobby of the hotel after the wedding is the gift that keeps on giving.

Lastly (but certainly not least), I wanted to point you in the direction of Ruffled, where you can find this amazingly adorable free printable Save the Date.  Click here for the goods.

Ahh, love the creativity! Such fun ideas. How cute that the bride was able to incorporate something so cute, unique AND personal into her own wedding. Love the airplane escort cards.

Thanks for the comments! I'm already married, but I swear I'm going to be one of those moms who plans all these fun birthday parties for my kids just so I can use some of these ideas!
