The Inside Scoop on BHLDN

We're all on the edge of our seats awaiting the opening of, what just may be, the greatest wedding shop in existence: BHLDN (pronounced 'Beholden').  For those of you not yet aware of this amazingness, BHLDN is the new wedding division of Anthropologie (Urban Outfitters, Inc.) scheduled to open on Valentine's Day.

I got the inside scoop regarding what the store will sell, what the price ranges are, and what artists will be featured.  Are you ready for this?!

What can we find at BHLDN?
BHLDN will bring together a 'curated' collection of heirloom quality wedding gowns, party frocks, bridesmaid dresses, jewelry, headpieces, footwear, and lingerie.  The wedding gowns available for sale on the site will be featured through amazing photography and video that allows one to 'feel' the ebb and flow of the gowns as they move.

What will make the site unique from Anthropologie?
Aside from the inventory, MyBHLDN will be an area of the site in which brides can create mood and inspiration boards.  Expert advice will be available in a How-To section, advising brides on how to choose the perfect photographer, or the perfect bow.

Which designers will be featured, and what will the general price range be?
Fleur Wood, Tracy Reese, and Catherine Deane have created lines exclusive to BHLDN, ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 per gown (and $200 to $600 per bridesmaid or event dress).  Accessories by James Coviello, Jennifer Behr, and Yestadt Millinery, as well as jewelry by Erickson Beamon, Katie Diamond, and Petra Domling will be available, as well.

Will decor options be available at BHLDN?
Though not available immediately, decor items of varied interests and themes will be available for purchase later this year.  Cake toppers, lanterns, DIY-type items, candelabras, and mouth-blown glassware are just a few of the lovelies BHLDN has in store.

Will BHLDN open any brick and mortar stores?
The first store is expected to open its doors in the second half of this year.
